Fuel pump wont shut off when key is on
So heres the background info.......last month my buddy was gutting his 88 crx si LSV (car ran great at this time). We ended up finding a weld in the hatch the after further exploring was the product of that shell having been in a collision and having a different hatch welded on (full on tweeker status hack job that was all consealed with bondo and trim pieces)
Moving on, He purchased a '89 CRX si shell and in our spare time transfered his LS vtec into the new shell (including the tank since we needed the walbro fuel pump out of the old car)
Most of the swap went easy, but upon going to hook up all the wiring and sensors we ran into some complications. When his key is on accesory the fuel pump stays on and does not kick off, just keeps pumping past the FPR and back into the tank. First thing we did was replace the FPR with another didnt work. We then replaced the Main relay with one we knew to work. pump still stays on. His injector harness on his LSV went from the injectors and split between the resistor box and where it plugs into the harness on the drivers side by the firewall. Problem being....the existing harness on the '89 has a round plug with 8 wire in (4 injector wires, EACV power and ECU pins, resistor, and fast idle control) the harness off his injectors had a rectangle plug with 6 pins (4 injectors, resistor, and cant remember the 6th off the top of my head) I repinned another plug to fit the exhisting harness. Problem being we dont have the last wire to properly wire it correctly as his injector harness does not have them.
SOOO my question is with all of the background can you guys think of any reason why the pump never clicks off and why fuel is being recycled to the tank? Also, we pulled the plugs after cranking for a while and the plugs are dry, leading me to believe that the injectors are not opening.

That's an odd one, the fuel pump relay is controlled by the ECU/ECM, [ground supply to fuel pump relays coil].
I am thinking something is miswired/mispinned on the ECU/ECM.94

x2 i just saw another thread where the guy was haveing the same problem. Recheck all your pinouts and make sure its all good. Also, what ECU are you running?
Not related to your platform but, when I attained my current ek sedan(trade) I had the same issue.so after checking I found the fuel pump was wired straight to the fuse box, smh.
I got a hatch once and the fuel pump was directly connected to a power source. You should check where all wires from fuel pump are going too!
Yeah, we got the car to start, but the wiring is a mess. I'm thinking this weekend I'm just going to rewire the pump from scratch rather than try to trace what the previous owner did.
