Default fuel pump question

I was wondering, what problem would I end up with, if I were to need a new pump?

sometimes when I engage v-tec my motor bogs out.???

first of all do you have cams or aftermarket stuff on the internal of your motor. Second is the check engine light is on.

yeah my check engine light comes on after drive for like 30 mins or so.
well I own a 93 civic HB
with a first gen B16A
I have about 280,000km on the body
120,000km on motor
the fuel pump is still OEM, do you think I should upgrade it?

all stock motor
basic bolt on's
I/E/H
bored out throttle body

my car also feels really weak in v-tec zone.... feels like it just makes noises for nothing.
I've changed the fuel pump, changed spark plug wires...spark plug should be good.
also I get a weird vaccum noise in my motor when I accerate.
this noise only happens when the car is moving.
