Default fuel pump question

i searched and found that stock civic pumps are all 79lph while all dohc pumps are 135lph. does this mean all of us with hybrid civics that kept our stock fuel pumps are running lean? please tell me im wrong.

I always thought the fuel pressure regulator fixed that problem.

fuel PRESSURE regulator... that helps pressure but what about VOLUME ?? a fuel pressure regulator will nott increase volume

The FPR is in the return line back to the tank. It works by adjusting the back-pressure thru itself, so the pressure in the fuel rail is correct. Flow rate is whatever it gets from the pump. If the pump is wrong (too small) then possibly sometimes, the FPR will not be able to close itself off enough. This happens if your injectors use lots of fuel, leaving very little to return to the tank. Then the fuel rail pressure will drop; you'll see that if you use a fuel pressure gauge. I suppose then it would run lean & throw a MIL, too.
