fuel prerssure, please help!!

I got a 1.5 litter vtec engine, intake, and straight true piping. After racing, the car leave some backfire when shifting gear. So i need more fuel pressure. I was wondering how much do I have to raise de fuel pressure???, It's like a 1.6 sohc vtec some people said. I got a stock dx fuel pump. I'm planing to get a B&M fuel flow modifier and a gauge for fuel pressure. Will an in line fuel pump will be needed???

back firing can be caused by running too rich, too lean, or not enough back pressure. as you so blatantly stated that you have straight pipe, i'm assuming that's your exhaust. that is the cause of your backfiring. you dont have enough back pressure.

4-1 headers w/i no cat, w/ tanabe hyper medalion.. I know when I run more psi with my fpr I get allot of backfires... usually when im really racing...when I turn it up to about 45 + psi.

you know the number 1.5?? the litle one between 1.4 and 1.6????
my engine is a d15b, short as this, IT'S A 1.5 litter , and I got a Vtec head.
And no I don't have any more number comming after the d15b on my block stamp! Btw thank you for the answer but your supposition where all false Tortex.
Tell me why Ferio engine are so rare???, I can get them all day long for a stable price.
Thank jared, I don't have any kind of muffler only a glass pack, no cat, I was wanting it very Straight, with 2" stainless pipe. so to you it seem the I dosn't have enough back pressure ???

My engine is comming from a Ferio Zeus Zore. I don't think I only have 90hp??,
I am faster than civic with the d16z6 in, but not that mutch faster, ( about 1 or 2 car lenght ). Very fun to drive.
I will try to help you the best I can, comme back with questions I will try to get you some of the best answer I can,

yes.. i know your not 90 HP as min is... thats why i bought the JDM D15B with 130 HP !! 2 swap in

not at all, I don't have any kind of head fitting on it!, it's a d15b, comming from japan, it arrive here like this, I just dropped it in the engine bay and it worked really nice, Though I had to make all the support to make it fit right there. and was a real pain in the *** to get it wired, it was my first swap so i get here the hard way. by cutting the main wiring harness!!, **** the worst thing some one can do!!!
ok so it is the D15B 130 HP you have like the on im putting in mine !!! 
also call EG8 VTI in japan..(i have the sall release from back then,with prices on and stuff... the price for that 4 door VTi EG8 was 1.4 mill jen...

i have all the wire for the engine... so should not be a prob....( exept for fittig the wire 2 the dashbord/clusther)
im more afraid off the hoses.... and so on... have any pic i could see ? or any other way you could help me out.. ?

it's the 130 hp version of the eg8 vti, Same as you get.
you'l see i got blue hoses, will be pretty easy to see where the come from to where they go, ( don't be affraid I paid 10$ for the whole hose setup in blue sylicone)

I was having the dx dual point injection, with auto tranny, I chosed the worst way to get there!!, héhé ,

that dosn't bother me more to get pics of the evap canister but, tommorrow, now i'm tired. héhé,
I used the evap canister of my dx, I think I didn't move it of the fire wall during the swap,
then for the map, i used the one on the d15b engine, and thats pretty it, can you see the block stamp??? I tried to take it but it night here, pics are not to bad though!!

oh yhea and for the valve cover, I polished it myself, with sand paper, starting with 200, and going to 1000, and after with paste, then clear coated it,

paste is a kind of stuff, you can buy it at the wall mart, it's polishing paste, for aluminium, stainless, and steel, it make metal very shinny,
the hose comming to the evap canister going to the firewall is connected in a solénoïd, this solenoid control the vapour comming out of the evap canister, I havn't understand it for now. but if we can find a picture of the engien bay in a civic ferio this would be a nice thing, we will be able to see hose running

yhea, I know, you are fantastic, and thank you for your little lesson about lean and rich, I know what is leaner or richer. I don't have any air/fuel gauge, so by posting that board, I was wanting people to post their own gas pressure depending on mod they have, and be informed on how many PSI people are running! I guess you know that you can ruin an engine by running too lean, but HEY, it's not important man, everything depend on how you want your engine to run, leaner or ritcher. And yes your previous sentences where false, I really got a d15b, 1.5l vtec engine, and if you are really interrested in the discussion read all the post over this one, you'l see what we are talking about. I bought my engine with the vtec head. I didn't " trow " any other head on it, nobody does. Do a little search, you'l find they are some good engine and that they actually exist.
