Default Fuel Injectors

Are disc style injectors "better" than pintle style injectors? I read about disc style in a tuner book i have, and am wondering if it would hurt if i change out my stockers for them. Would the driver be compatible, or would i have to change ECUs? ARe they specifically for boosted cars, or can they be used in daily drivers? I asked pretty much the same question in the Boosted section, but nobody gave enough of a crap to reply.

The driver would be compatible provided they are the right resistance, the pintle style injectors are cheap and easy to make, and they gum up easily, the disc and ball type injectors are self cleaning, and should last virtually forever.
