Fuel Injector Stuck Open??
When this happens, is it usually a faulty injector......or is it more likely to be a wiring problem?? I am really just trying to figure out what actually causes it to become stuck.
Reason I ask is because I had my motor apart for a few weeks getting some work done to the head. Now, after putting it back together, I have the #3 injector stuck open. I just can't figure out why it is open now and I had no problems before the motor was apart. TIA everyone.

Normally, the ECU completes the circuit to ground for each injector at the correct time. Maybe you shorted the wire for the the #3 injector to ground (between the injector and ECU)? Or, your ECU could be bad, but you said you didn't have any problems before the head work.

In the case that I have a "leaky injector", could a good cleaning fix the problem, or would this indicate that the injector is completely done for.
I am trying to diagnose whether the injector maybe got gummed up from sitting out of the car for a while.
