Default Fuel Gauge.

I have an 89 Honda Civic Hatch and my needle on my gas gauge was broken when I got the car. So I wired an aftermarket one straight to the sending unit, but the gauge is NOT accurate. It says Im out of gas when it gets on the 1/4 mark.

So I need to install a correct one, I read that I need to test the ohms to determine which one to get. But I don't know how to test it and when I do test it how do I know what gauge to get that will make it accurate.

Any suggestions of a type of brand would be very helpful. And would it be any different to wire a digital gauge instead of one with a needle?

-Thanks.

Why not just replace the stock one, there are 4 89 Civics at my PicknPull, you must have a bone yard in your area with a Civic or two in it.

A whole gauge cluster at PicknPull is only $36. 94
