can anyone help me out? It seems almost impossible to install the front mount, included with the hcp kit for the ef series cars. All the others are installed, and worked out good, but the damn front mount doesnt quite mate up. So far ive been driving around w/o it, but any help on installing it would be appreciated!!

 

I slotted the two "ears"or tabs on the front cross member that the front mount bolts into,and used some large washers on both sides to keep the bolt/nut and mount from breaking the tabs on the crossmember.I think those tabs required a littlr trimming,too.Hope that helps-I like my HCP kit.It has 4 mounts(like Honda)and an adj.shift linkage and stabilizer.

 

I did the same to mine in the front...

 

if your talkin about the mount in the front of the car on the tranny i just cut that mount out i couldnt get the motor in with that damn mount in the way .i didnt get a mount from has sport for the front im not using it i havent had any trouble yet

 

so do you mean i would need to cut into the front crossmember, in order to create two tabs to bolt the mount to?

 

No,your front crossmember already has a mounting place(FR Mount);it just has to be modified as per my last post.
