Default fried disrtibuator

k so im in the prosses of still building my 1.5 longblock with:
si manifold
si tranny
si distribuator
si harness
si computor
and Dseries axles, linkage.

anyways, my friend told me that my distribuator is fried cause its not giving any spark. well just to make sure by using my si computer, harness and distr. it should still work right. second i went to napa and they said it could be my moduel. can that be right. BTW i just bought knew cables to go with it. my motor cranks when i turn the key but just doesnt turn on. thanks if you guys could help me. first build.

bad coil can also give u NO spark . see if u can switch it from a good one on another Distributor . modules hardly go bad .. in my experience

also if u know how try and get its OHmage with an Ohm meter . and check the specs that wil tell you if u have a bad coil

today i bought a new rotor and got a b16 cap on it. i was told from a dude that works at auto zone. so i came home and tried it, nothin. so i reilized that i have no gas in so i got some but it barly gave me any so im going back tomorrow after school to get more gas and also im going to a diffrent auto zone to check if i have any spark coming from my coil with there meter. i hope tomorrow is the day. i keep saying the next day its going to turn on but damn nothing. so i hope the gas and the coil is going to be good. o one more thing when i would try to crank it after a few trys it would start to smell like fuel that was before and after i got the gas. wats up with that. thanks for the help.

Use a multimeter and check your resistances of both primary, and secondary coil. then check for continuity of the igniter inside the dizzy. (see hayes manual for your specs for the resistances needed for your dizzy)
