Fram oil filter

i was examining the oem oil filter from honda, and noticed it said "made by FRAM" on it.. i was like wtf.. so is this basically the same thing as the fram filter at kragen, just packaged by honda and painted blue?

The OEM filters made in Canada were Fram. The ones made in the US (now discontinued) were made by Filtech.
