well, i blew the head gasket the other day and upon taking everything out i found this little ****** waiting for me.
the crack is not on the cyl. that was getting water.i dont know if this just happened or if it has been there.
anyways what you think?

cyl. clean= water. but the crack is on the adjacent one.

the hairline only ''seems'' to be the height of the ridge of the cyl. maybe like 1/8.

thats sucks ***.........time for a re-sleeve perhaps......or find another block?

that will probably eventually get worse if you ignore it....

 

yeah, it sucks, im wondering if its going to hold for a while since im finishing another block..

it will hold for a while........probably a long while as long as you dont abuse the hell out of it.....but it WILL eventually get worse and worse until it cracks the cylinder sleeve or something else.......

if you already have another engine to go in then just slap that one back togeather and drive it "gently" until your ready to swap it out....

 

buy a blockguard..... Ha Ha Ha....

are the inner and outter 2 seperate pieces? or bonded together somehow?
