Default Formula engine

Heya everyone,

Do you think that is it possible to buy a very complicated engine (such as Formula 1, 3, 3000 or Nippon)? Not new, but 2nd hand, oldish... whatever. If price was not an issue (and unfortunately it is at the moment ).

Yes, it is possible, you can buy essentially anything with enough money.
Check out the various race cars sales sites. http://www.race-cars.com, for example.
If you are truly interested, go to an HSR Vintage race if you are near a stop on their calender, well worth it, you will see old F1, CART, NASCAR, CAN-AM (wicked!!)
etc.
Why do you want one, or are you just curious?

Default Re: Formula engine (Paul Machan)

I would like to eventually buy one and build a "replica" I guess. I am not a very mechanical person, but i have 2 people who would be more than happy to help out. I guess I am just a big "dreamer"

Basically I'd like to take a formula 1 similar car to the track, considering that the chances of me driving a real one is 0.1^10000000000+

So to answer your question, yes I do want one. Just not atm, cause I don't have the money. It's also a bit hard to find things like that here in Australia.

Thanks for the link

You CAN drive an F1 car, just need $$$$.
There are a couple schools that specialize in F3000 and F1 cars, there is a school in Europe called F1-International I think, and one here in Canada at Shannonville, it is huge money though. The schools in Europe are better, they use more updated cars and are held at several tracks.
I found the link, http://www.f1-international.com/e_index.html
The one in Ontario is call Raceinc, but their web site doesn't seem to be working.
