Default flywheel question??

well i have a gsr motor and i took out the tranny and got the flywheel resurfaced. but im still waiting for my tranny but there is some surface rust on my flywheel. kinda like the rust that brakes have when you dont drive it. can i use brake cleaner to clean the flywheel and the tranny housing? thx

A little surface rust won't hurt it. Wipe it down liberally with WD-40 while it's being stored (if you plan to store it for awhile you can use grease instead). Then when your ready to install it just clean it off with brake cleaner and a clean shop rag.
