flywheel fixable?
You wont know for sure until you start grinding it. You should be able to make it usable, but there might be some spots that have been ground too deep to fix. Just depends on how good his friend was with a grinder... lol
It can be resurfaced. milled at a machine shop, we have a place here in my town that turns them for around 50 bux, do some calling around ,like big truck repair shops or shops that rebuild clutch disc"s, DO NOT install it like that or you will be doing it all over again.
Yea, i dont think im going to buy that one. Funds are on the low side, and i came across a stock b16 for 30 shipped. Have to get it resurfaced, but its a hell of alot better than that one. Wish that flywheel wasnt fucked up like how it is lol.
A resurface will fix that, you may need a spacer behind the flywheel to allow the starter to hit the ring gear correctly, that is standard fare.
A coarse sanding sponge with a bit of time can help bring the surface back without machining. Start with 220 or so and go up to 800.
I cant really tell how deep the gouges are, but if they are minor in depth, the mentioned trick should work.
