Default Floorpan Damage Possible?

Is the floorpan of our Hondas prone to structural damage? I mean like being dented and bulging upward into the car instead of being totally flat? Something to that effect? And is this sort of damage repairable? I mean, it would be classified under body damage correct? Just curious but not too sure how to word this or even if I'm posting in the right forum, but any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!!

I've never heard of anyone having floorpan damage. How would that even happen?

I guess theoretically, if you ran over something really bad or the car was severely damaged in a collision accident? I'm tired, not making too much sense, haha...

Oh yah, I guess another form of floorpan damage is the obvious:rust eating away at it, but that's not what I was asking...

yeah sure...nothing would really get that far to inflict damage to the floorpan. It would be a really weird thing. Your car would either go flying before hitting the floorpan, or it would drag/crash on the item.

theoretically, sure.. and it would be considered body damage.

Where is this all coming from?

my friends eg has damage to the floor pan it looks like it was dented up a little. he bought the car that way and the previous owner was into road racing. so we think he had an off track excursion and that dented the floor pan from bottoming it out severly in the dirt and gravel.

I've seen an improperly set lift bang up a floorpan... Also "offroad" excursions...

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess a body shop can fix this then. I'm assuming they will just "pull" the metal back out to flatten it?

it can happen
my gf did it to her 92 4dr DX civic
but she beat that car

personnally i'd just pound it back with a hammer instead of paying an overpriced amount at a body shop

not like it's a fine art to get them back into place
