Default fixing a steering wheel

is it possible to reattach the steering wheel cushion to the rod inside?

my ej6 steering wheel broke off the rod inside it
when the plastic part separates from the frame. dont know how else to describe it.

is there a way to glue it back to it without cutting the back?

i ve seen people cut the back with a razor and use epoxy but it leaves a hardened gap filled with epoxy on the back..

im planning to find a leather wrap for it later also to cover some outside wear.

Drill holes, mine already had holes. Then squeeze tons of super glue in there. Then twist it to spread the glue around before it dries.
