I just fitted a first gen rev speed meter, and followed the set up instructions from the manual i downloaded. everything worked fine and i thought it was working 100% until i went over 140kmph, and thats where the speedometer stopped reading, it just stuck at 140kmph even though i was going faster than that. I went back home and unplugged it and went through the set up again, and still it wont read over 140kmph. I only used the basic connections as i already have the speed limiter removed from my jdm integra and didnt need to connect up the de-limiter wires to the ECU. I have gone through the set up again and again and i cant figure out what i'm doing wrong! Could someone who has the apexi RSM fitted please give me some help, the downloaded manual isnt much help (they even have a mistake in the ECU wiring diagram!) and theres no trouble shooting section, nor a wiring diagram if you want to wire the ecu for removing the speed limiter.
i have noticed with all of my endevores that not having extra parts in the end makes things work properly. maybe the rsm still thinks you have a limiter. you should hook it all up.

that may be true but 140kmph is only 87mph and limiter on jdm cars is set at 180kmph so it should at least read up to that if it thinks the limiter is still hooked up!
double check ur settings, i haven't delt with one of the 1st gen ones, but mine did the same thing until i found the right speed pulse setting (or whatever its called) and my tire diameter and weight were right.
