final drive??
can someone tell me what does the ATS final drive to the gear ratio... does it make very gear closer?
That is correct. And what the outcome of closer gearing is snappy acceleration.

how does it drop speed on each gear with out affecting the gear ratio and how do this make faster acceleration?
The 4.9 FD for instance will increase acceleration & deceleration. By deceleration, lets say you're going at a steady 40mph and you let off the throttle while in gear, the car will on it's own, slow down faster (decelerate) than it would with your stock 4.40 fd. More teeth are on the 4.9 FD ring which in turn makes it a higher/tighter ratio or as some like to say, lower gear/ratio (meaning tighter). I use the terminology of 'higher ratio' because it makes more sense then 'lowered gearing'.

so the top speed of the vechicle stays the same with closer final drive?
No, the top speed will not be the same. The top speed will actually be hurting a bit with a tighter final drive. It's not that bad though as far as a 4.785 fd goes.. I've never experienced a 4.9 FD though. If the FD is longer such as an integra LS FD 4.266 you will have better top speeds, but your overall gearing will not have very tasty acceleration with an LS FD...
