Fidanza 3.2 clutch issue
Was hoping someone might be able to help me with this.
I bought a Fidanza 3.2 clutch kit for my 98 DC2-R and installed a Kaiten Super Karui flywheel at the same time. Now it all went in fine, but the clutch won't release off the flywheel when the pedal is pressed. So, gearbox out again and I installed a different clutch, another 4 puk but a different brand and it works fine. It was a Helix GrpN paddle clutch btw.
Now is there a known issue with compatibility between fidanza clutches and certain flywheels or would you say it's down to a clutch issue?
Many thanks

From my past issues that I've been through the only time when I had the same problem as you, was when I stupidly installed the clutch disk backwards between the pressure plate and flywheel. (it was my first clutch install btw)
and I couldn't get it outta gear nor could I shift while the vehicle was running.
Then I took it all apart again and flipped the flat side of the clutch on the flywheel side.
and it all works.

That was all checked when the clutch was taken out again and it was all in correctly, and we saw it wouldn't actually be possible to bolt the clutch up together if it was done that way so we could rule that out straight away.
The garage thats done the work has only had this issue once before and that was with a Clutchmasters kit, and once swapped for an Exedy kit there was no issue so we were all confused as to why it wouldn't work

figured id post my experience even tho im bringing this back from the dead. so just incase someone else has this problem it might be the clutch disc is too big for the pressure plate and not allowing it to back off the flywheel. My clutch was a clutch specialties 6 puck sprung. look at the pictures. the disc actually made marks where it hit the pressure plate.

so basically when it was bolted down the pressure plate was actually keeping the disc on the flywheel...i sent it back and they sent me a new one and it works great..
