Going to be starting to build my d16y8 in a few days here and I have a couple of noob questions.

If I use Eagle H-beam rods, how much will I have to grind when I notch the block?

Should I re-use any of the bearings or buy new ones? If I should buy new ones any recommendations on brands or just buy oem ones?

Also I have noticed a strange looking head on the rod cap bolts of the h-beams, do they provide a special tool for this or will a normal 12-point socket fit on there?

Any other words of wisdom are welcome and greatly appreciated.

 

as far as the rods go..put them on grind down anything that needs to be..get new oem bearings..and use anything to get it off, just make sure you can toqur it down when teh time comes
