From: From the bay to stockton

failed smog. high nox.

97 honda del sol si. D16y8. Failed as gross polluter. High nox and no communication to obd2. Should I bother getting it fixed or junk it? My only car and daily.

You might ask the inspector if the high nitrogen oxides are due to the converter failure or sensor failure.

might be your ECU since it fails OBD test.

NO MIL/CEL is an automatic fail. Find out why the CEL is not coming on. If the bulb is burned out this may or may not relate to why the scanner is not communicating via the OBDII port. If you have your own scanner does it work/ can you pull codes?
