FAILED Emissions!
could you guys tell me whats wrong i failed on idle, here's all my numbers
91 honda civic si 1.6L
at 2086 RPM
limit: reading: result:
HC ppm | 76 | 46 | PASS
CO % | 0.42 | 0.03 | PASS
NO ppm | 870 | 869 | PASS
at idle(963 RPM)
limit: reading: result:
HC ppm | 200 | 1513 | FAIL
CO % | 1.00 |3.46 | FAIL
NO ppm | n/a |n/a | n/a

oh yah i have headers and intake(brand new 02 sensor was put on last summer)

you said you have a header when i failed my test i took it to honda to have them try and figure out why and the first thing the guy told me to do is take off the DC header. i did and now i have a bar sticker, well i had to do alot more then just that but that brought it down so much it was crazy.

You are running too rich at idle. And the car is misfiring badly at idle. high CO = rich mixture. high HC's = misfire. Your rich condition is likely the cause of your misfire and resulting high HC's.
