The F22 is SOHC, the H22 is DOHC. Other than that I don't know.

the h-series and f-series are very similar, its really just that the f22 and f23 are setup to bolt to a sohc head, and the h22 and h23 are setup for a dohc head. i know this cause i used to want to put an h22 head on my accords old f22 block, but it just wouldnt line up. oh well. thats why i got the teg

i honestly couldnt tell you if the head bolt holes line up or not, i cant remember... but if you compare the head gaskets of the 2 engines, youll totally see what im talking about. the passages dont line up. thats how i compare compatability between engines, i guess. it makes sense, you know?

yeah i hear what ur saying. i know the heads arent compatible but just by the looks of the block they are really really close. ****, if the blocks were interchangable everyone would have a DOHC F22, haha.

H22 is avariant of the f22a1 from 90-93 SOHC.

Both blocks actually have the same physical strength.. good up to 320hp
Oil drain holes are different on the h22 nad larger...

Im building a f22race motor for next year..with over +300 hp..
They say it can't be done( all motor)...we will see...

So does the f22 crank bolt into the h22 block?

I have 2 blown up f22's and a torn down h23 right now, I might have to see what works!

I know the crank between the h23 and h22 are interchangeable, I doubt the f22 crank works, but I just might see if the f22 crank will set in the h23 block. hmmm.

Um your math ain't so good.

The F22a crank is 95mm, and in an H22a would displace 2.258L same as the H23. The cranks are likely the same. H23 and F22a

this is a VERY good questions, but i don't think anyone have a good answer, it would be cool if we could get pics of the F22 and the H22 stipped and all that, i always wanted to know the real difference between the H22 and the F22 block, no one has ever been able to tell me.
consider this post as a BUMP
