f20 blue top and h22 interchangeabality?!
After some research I have gotten a few answers but mostly people arguing about whos right and who is not. I would just like a few questions answered about the f20b blue top. I am interested in converting it to obd1. I currently have a bunch of h22 parts and well I think the mounts and axles will work I am unsure about the intake, header and distributor. I currently have a bitchin header and intake (for h22) that I want to reuse on the motor (f20b) if possible and want to know what to do with the distributor. Will the h22 intake and the mani bolt on to the f20b? If someone could please help I would appreciate it. I also have a hasport harness for my eg h22 conversion which im sure I will have to modify a little bit but thats no biggie. Any help be appreciated.
All parts associated with the head except the valves are interchangeable. So yes header, intake and distributor from 1997 onwards H22A will bolt up. You could put the F20B head on a H22A without any modifications, and enjoy increased compression and horsepower. I had one in an Accord H22A with F20B SiR-T head..
Axles are interchangeable too, as a matter of fact all drive train parts.
Hope that answers your questions..
