A/F gauge acting weird...
This has been like this for awhile, but I want to see if it's normal. I've got an Autometer A/F gauge in my 95 GSR, anyway, it sweeps like it should and still reacts quickly to throttle changes. At low RPMs the display lights up 1 or 2 LEDs, but as the RPMs increase, the number of LEDs increases until nearly 1/3 of the display is lit just before redline. Has anyone else experienced this or know why it could happen. I've got CTR cams with some extra overlap dialed in, but I can't see why that would effect it.
Mine does the same thing. Try this too...At night; try turning off your headlights for a couple of secs (on a deserted road of course
). Only a couple of LED's will light up...turn them back on and a bunch will light up. I don't know why, but mine does the same thing. A/F guages are incredibly innacurate though.

Mine is just hooked to a constant 12v somewhere. If it was hooked to the headlight 12v, wouldn't it not come on at all until I turned the headlights on; or, is there current going through the line even though they're off and is amplified when the switch is hit?

Not to the headlight switch, but you actually put me on the right path. I noticed it doing it more at night so I thought maybe it was the headlights, but that didn't make sense. Then I started thinking what else do you use at night... especially when you're in this icebox they call Maine. Heat. It's directly related to the speed of the interior fan. Now I need to back track where I spliced into to get the power. I may have been lazy and taken it from the back of the headunit which would explain it.
Thanks.
Thanks.
