Default External fuel pump problems Need help please

I've got a 99 GSR that I put a Triangle Engineering 10 gallon fuel cell in, with a Holley external fuel pump. I did this because when I rebuilt the car from theft recovery, the pump was gone, wiring cut, and tank full of water. Anyway, the pump worked for about 15 minutes and died. It's got 12v going to it like it should. The pump just kind of clicks. I'm assuming its dead. I need something fast. Would a stock pump work externally? I think I have one in a parts car, but I can't think of what it looks like as far as the inlet and outlet. Maybe if I took the sock off. I don't know. Any help is appreciated.
