Default Exhaust question

I've got a Greddy EVO catback, a high-flow catalytic converter, and a DCSports 4-1 header. I'm having a problem with cracking the welds on the catalytic converter. It seems that when the engine twists, it's trying to flex the exhaust piping, but since it's all solid, it bends at the weakest point -> the catalytic converter welds. Is there any way to put a small piece of flexible pipe in the line somewhere so this doesn't occur? I know I could put motor mount inserts in, but I would really rather not have all the vibration that results. Thanks!

Default Re: Exhaust question (mstewar)

if you do that you are wasting all the money you spent on the Mandrel bent cat-back. Look at the hanger mounts for the exhaust and your engine mounts (stock rubber).....they may be worn and that is causing the issue with the exhaust getting torqued.
