Default Exhaust Question

What can cause the exhaust to be quieter? It used to sound good, now it sounds quiter than before...

Another question: Can a cracked header, be the problem?

the car is a 1991 Accord (f22a1)

Does it have the original exhaust? If it's rusted enough it could have broken a piece of baffle loose and lodged in the way temporarily blocking the exhaust and causing a reduced exhaust note. Or you could just be crazy. And a cracked header would cause more noise not less.
