exhaust legnth?

exhaust legnth?
oi oi.
just an tech question about exhaust legnth. if i want to have my exhaust exit on the right hand side of my car just infront of my wheel (it will go through the front bumper side) would having such a short legnth exhaust cause any problems?
ie: kill the velocity of the gass etc?
i can have a manifold knocked up so its all equal legnth and so it head straight out to the side but im just curious to any preformance problems or fabrication problems i might run into? has anyone already dont this?
reason i might want to do this btw is that if i fitted a H2B plate the engine is going to sit way far over the left side of the car and not fit the pem delsol mount what so ever.
