Default Exaust/Muffler - Cutting bumper?

First off I apologize for my newbness (Gotta start somewhere I suppose)

Anyway I've been putting some money away to get a new exaust on my car (98' civic SI, Canadian). I was looking at greddy, possibly an Evo2. Are they reputable?

Second off, the muffler is much bigger than what is stock on my car, so I take it in order for it to fit you must "cut" your bumper to fit it in properly. Any idea how much a body shop would charge in order to do this for me? Also please do correct me if I am wrong about this (as I stated, newbness )

thanks guys
