hey, im running a H22a in my civic96..everything was perfect.until i lended my car to a friend and he pretty much totaled it.

its fixed now but VTEC wont kick and and the error code i get is 6! which is the ECT sensor if im not wrong. I just wanted to know where exactly the sensor is??

oh and i do have a busted sensor ..but it looks alot like a map sensor and is behind the throttle body, facing the firewall. I remember it being busted once before too..i did get a check engine light which went away when i replaced it...but it did not effect VTEC before and the only code im getting is 6!

help would be much appreciated!

 

ect is water temp, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I dont think that will affect vtec engagement.
