Error Code 54
Ok, I just got in my car like 30 mins ago and the Check engine light came on. It threw out code #54 which is:
54 CKF Sensor (Crankshaft Speed Fluctuation) defective circuit or unplugged
defective sensor
Any suggestions? Do I just buy a new position sensor? They are $24 at Autozone. Or, maybe a new wire (have not looked yet).
I'm driving a 98' Civic DX Non-turbo with a sub system that at times can draw a large amount of current (No cap to stop the dimming lights). At the time I was running the fan w/o A/C at setting 2 with the stereo at a moderate level and 1/2 heat. Just got off of the freeway when it popped on. I was coming to a stop at a light.
