Engine will not start..
Hey H/t
yet again another problem with a honda not starting..
So today i started my car let it run for a bit, after letting it run for a little i turned the car off and let is sit for a minute while i got dressed. So after getting dressed i go back down stairs to leave and my car does not wanna start.. I checked the dizzy for spark, checked the fuel pump, Main fuse etc.. But also i noticed that when i have someone try and start my car for me the ground wire from the engine to the chasis is smoking and getting really hot? Any Ideas?

Check your main power connections, start with the grounds, batt. clamp to batt. post, batt. to chassis and chassis to engine, do not just eyeball the connections, remove/undo them, [paying close attention to the chassis to engine ground] clean to bare metal both contact surfaces, reconnect making sure connections are snug/tight, careful not to over-tighten. 94

Stock guage is not the problem if the connections are good. You could smoke a lead and need to replace it because of that. Unless you have something with huge draw, or a partially broken lead, then it is more likely connection than size. You can't always look and see a problem. As FCM says above, clean and redo connections.

Most deffinately. I 3rd that. Size only matters well....lol anyhow. A bad connection can cause lotts of issues. Recently my car had a similar problem after swapping the gsr in my ek Minus the smoking. No start. Was a loose main ground
