Default Engine swap in 98 Civic

I bought a 99 H22A4 motor for my 98 Civic. The motor came with everything except the ECU. I cant seem to find a reasonably priced ECU for this thing. Can anyone tell me which ECU will work with this motor wether it be an integra or civic ECU. I have found that civic ECU's are cheaper than the prelude ECU's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thx

I'm not 100% on this, but you need an OBD2 H22 ECU. Other than that, you can convert to OBD1 and run a P72 (GSR ECU) and have it Hondata chipped to run the H22.

not sure about this but couldn't you just buy a cheap aftermarket chip for it? i think skunk2 makes some pretty cheap chips.

Yes, this setup can be runned, but will cost more than the Lude ECU itself. However, check out some junk yards like http://www.car-parts.com, you can find lots of stuff you need for the H22a swap. Also, get a HCP mount kit for your civic when you do the H22a swap.

Thanks,
Jay

Do you have the actual H22a4 wire harness? Make sure you do if you do get the H22a ecu.

Thanks,
Jay
