Default engine swap

i want and need to swap the engine on my 90 teggy, i thought of going with a B16a wiht ls pistons and rods, but was curious as to if htat was the way to go. what would a CRV do to my performance, is htere a better engine? just a bit of info i would like to put a turbo on sometime in the future.

another is Ls/vtec
another is B16 jdm
Also B20.
