my friend has a 99 civic with auto. she says her car has stalled a few times when she was either stopping at a light or slowing down to take turns. i've heard when air filter gets clogged, something like that may happpen. any other thoughts?

 

Does it have a CVT.

 

no, just regular 4 speed auto

 

If it starts right back up, it may have a bad ignition switch. It may be covered under a new recall.
