I need help in figuring this out, my friend's car died on the freeway while in motion. She says that it happened before but was fixed and it was because of the Fuel pump. Now she's not sure if that's it. What else causes this problem? thanks guys.
Ohh I'm not exactly sure though myself. She told me about it only. It's a 97 Mazda Protege. Automatic. It starts back up after she pulled over when it died. It happened 3 times today already.

you need to be more specific
what year car
what motor
does it have power (electrical)
does the fuel pump prime
is it getting spark
have you checked the plugs

asking "whats wrong" dosent help. there are 5,000 things that can break.

 

yes it has power and it probably gets some fuel because it starts back up as soon as she cranks it with the key again. but not too sure yet cuz i haven't seen it.

 

you might wanna try a mazda forum. maybe this happens all the time to mazdas. i dunno, but i think they would be more help than honda-tech
