Default Engine rebuild suggestions?

Hey I have a 1992 Honda Accord LX. It has the 2.2 liter non-vtec engine. I am planning on rebuilding the engine cause it has 160,000 miles on it and i wouldnt mind beefin it up a little. I heard u can put a vtech head on the engine but was not sure of it. Also, what type of pistons, camshaft, etc.. would u recomend in order to do a good reliable rebuild, without having to put racing fuel in the car and worry about skrewin up transmissions.

First, its VTEC, not vtech.
vtech is a phone.

second if you really want to upgrade just get an H22 motor, they come in preludes and can be had for about 2000$ and it will be a nice kick to the accord

i looked into the h22a but i dont have the money for that, and i dont need that much power. I was gonna rebuild the engine anyway and just wanted to know some good parts to upgrade on the internals to make it perform better. Also does anyone know if it is possible to swap a vtec head on to it.
