Default engine rebuild?

here is the problem I am currently in the middle of my engine rebuild. Im just about to install my main bearings but there is a difference in the bearings i ordered and the bearings currently installed in the engine. I ordered the bearings for a 99 si with the color chart (hadn't dissassmbled the engine yet) the bearings i ordered are grooved all the way around (both halves) with only one hole. The bearings in the engine currently are grooved only on the top half of the bearing and have two holes. Im wondering if there is a difference or if they are the same but a slightly diff design because of the year differences or because one is jdm and one is us spec. Im wondering if it will work and also if the colors on the bearings are the same for both applications. I really need help on this one. Thanks in advance.

I've never seen a main bearing with two oil feed holes. That's new to me.

What are the part numbers on the new main bearings that you have?

I do know that one set of main bearings includes one with a single oil feed hole for the main saddles and one without an oil feed hole for the main cap.

If you feel that a twin oil feed hole design is the way to go b/c of greater flow volume an dispersion than is allowable by using a single oil feed hole (or boring out the single hole), I'd just drill another hole of similar size to the one on the old bearings.

the b16a from a jdm teg xsi which i took out myself had 2 oil feed holes in the sadle and none on the cap. the cap was smooth. what i think happened is that they gave me only the top halves and assumed the bottoms were the same part number

I'd see if you can return them. And, if you can't, then at least you'll have a spare set around.

ok heres the deal they did give me the wrong lowers, they have already ordered me another set, but as i started to notice, the rod bearings were diff also. the rod bearings in the engine were solid no holes, the new rod bearings have holes in them..... also they ordered the wrong lowers for the rods as well, have to call and change that tomorrow along with ordering new thrust bearings, other than that im getting close just waiting on my retainers to be warrantied by crower and im set.
