You can use Amsoil 0-W20 or 5W-20 XL for your Accord. Here is something quick and easy. Go to http://www.buythebestoil.com and click on the Product Info Tab, then select the Product Application Guide. Just type in your Accord year and select your car. Everything you need for that car with regards to lubricants is there. Pricing can be found their as well.
FYI, the 0-W20 is 25,000 miles or one year, the 5W-20 XL is 7500 mile oil or 1 year.
* Normal Service(3) – Up to 25,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first.
* Severe Service(4) – Up to 15,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first.
Synthetics in general should be introduced into mechanically sound, oil leak free engines. How do you change to Amsoil? I.E. a 5 quart capacity: 3 quarts of your current 5W-20 for example with 2 quarts of Amsoil 5W-20 and an inexpensive oil filter. Run it for 3000 miles and then go all Amsoil with an Amsoil Nano Fiber Filter. I have changed every one of my used vehicles over to Amsoil this way. New vehicles can change immediately. I use the Amsoil 10W-40 motorcycle oil in my 93 Honda Nighthawk CB750 and 10W-30 in my 18 hp lawn tractor. Everything that uses oil, grease, transmission etc. is protected with Amsoil. Gas mileage is much better, extended oil drains save me money and the benefits go on and on. Less $ to run my engines!! I have been using this product for 18 years and it is the best product on the market.
