Default engine not working rite

i swapped a 2000 integ type r engine(us) into my 94 integ bout 1 year ago and it worked fine but these last couple of months it started messin up........my engine shuts of here and there and my idol is not rite and the engine sounds like its goin to die does n e one know wut can be wrong.........

you may have bent valves...

Once you start reving it up, does it sounds right? Or does it still sounds wrong?
