okay when my engine is really cold it makes a harsh metal against metal vibrating sound. it stops after the idle gets below 2000. and the motor warms up.

any ideas??

Is it coming from your transmission? Can you tell? My transmission makes a harsh noise like that when it's cold because it is low on transmission fluid and until that expands with heat my transmission groans at me...I should probably fix that , come to think of it. Anyway, maybe that's your problem
