Default Engine Machining Prep

Alright guys, I have a question for you. Tomorrow or wednesday I am getting my block and and crankshaft and head machined by a professional. I was wondering if there is a universal state of readiness these parts should be in in order for them to be worked on. Everything is completely dissassembled (except the valves/valve springs, because I need to get a compressor from autozone tomorrow before I can get them out, damnit). But should I clean these parts before bringing them in? They're pretty dirty...lot's of buildup. Or do these machine shops have cleaning facilities, or do I have an option to pay for a cleaning usually?

I just want to know if it would be worth everyone's time for me to take my pieces down to the car wash and give them a good spray, or if that's just unneccesary.

On an unrelated note, anyone know where I can buy all seals/gaskets for an 88 nissan sentra engine...plus oversized pistons, new rings, rods, and bearings? haha, thanks
