Default engine fault codes, need info

I have a 91 ef hatch, it has a d16z6, had issues getting it running, it would crank but not fire, come to find out it had a obd1 dizzy repinned to work on obd0 harness, went and got a brand new obd0 dizzy, put it in and got the car started, and running, had to slightly advance the timing on the dizzy to get it to smooth out, and custom build a couple brackets to get the dizzy bolted down, considering the obd0 dizzy bracket is diff from the obd1 head, now the pm6 ecu is throwing 2 engine fault codes, 9 (cyp sensor) and 15 (ignition output signal), both are in which inside the dizzy, what are the possibilities of the cause of both these codes on a brand new dizzy? Any input? Greatly appreciate the help in advanced

Totally possible dependant on where you sourced your replacement. A lot of the aftermarket replacement distributors for Honda's are junk.

If you can hoard originals whenever you run across one. You can use bits and pieces from them to cobble something together and be more reliable.

Code 9 could be a sensor, wiring or ecu issue. You'll need a DVM to test the sensors resistance and check for continuity to ground. You'll need to do the same for the wiring from the dizzy to the ecu.

I'm thinking my problem lies in wiring, now whether its a ground or bad wire connection, or just a simple wire issue I am not sure yet, I see more often than not most complaints with the code 9, are from swaps and lie in wiring
