i got a buddy with a 91 ef with a b16 and a pw0 ecu, it boggs at 3500 rpm he does not have vtec hooked up yet. does anyone know if not having the vtec hooked up would do this? the car runs normal if he switches back to the stock pm6 ecu. any help would be great.

hrm..it should run pretty normal even if VTEC isn't hooked up. Perhaps the ecu is faulty. Is he getting any check engine lights w/the PW0 ecu at all?
