Default Emissions comparison - which is cleaner?

Which would run cleaner - a stock CRX Si engine that's been sitting for a couple of years, or a MPFI-conversion on a 1.5L Civic DX engine? Both would be running off the CRX Si computer.

I'm having problems with the local smog checks and can't afford to get the car diagnosed and repaired properly.

Please help peoplez!

My guess is the MPFI engine would run cleaner.

They'd both be MPFI. You mean the CRX engine?

I think that the DPFI is a lean burn engine. If your having problems try this

take off the headers and clean ports
new factory 02
unplug one of the injectors
shove another cat on the back of the muffler (my friends done it twice here in Idaho lol)
rev it up good to clean out any remaining deposits for about 20min or dirve it hard

good luck

PS smog BLOWS!
