eletrical oriented people..help making o2 simulator
I attempted to create the o2 sensor simulator from this page:

Everything looks good but for some reason the voltage switches from 0v to .001v instead of 0v to 7v. Can someone possibly guide me in the direction of my mistake or mistakes? the timer is definetely working..the red power led changes brightness every 3.3 seconds when the timer is supposed to switch. Any help is appreciated...thanks

Most likely resistor values. Are you sure you have the right values? Do you know how to read resistor values? I would also test them with a good meter to make sure they are what they are supposed to be.
I got the same values listed on the site. Even check every one of them. I guess my soldering could use some work but no 2 connections are touching that shouldn't be. Any other ideas?
I was using an old transformer that i measured outputing ~12.8v
After soldering a little better it now oscillates between 0v and ~1.2v and the 2nd led that comes one with the high voltage is very dim. Could this be because the transformer? Im going to try the car battery tommorrow but at least im getting some voltage now. Thanks guys

What wire do you tap into in the ecu to hook up the sim?
it does sound like less-than-perfect soldering job.
also, most transformers wont put out enough amps, but then again thats not really a high current circuit anyway, so nevermind that.

It worked perfectly hooked up to the car battery. The voltage flipped from 0v to .7v every 3.3 seconds. I havn't actually hooked it up to the car yet since i had to get my car inspected and put the cat back on. My car is still under warantee so im beginning to think twice about hacking my wiring. I may be willing to sell the sim if someone is interested. It cost me around $25 in parts so i would like to at least make that back. I might still decide to use it im just testing the waters here to see if i can sell it pm me with an offer.
