ELECTRICAL QUESTION Does anyone know how to do this
I have a dual stage boost controller and it comes with a switch that when you press it switches between high and low boost modes. The problem is that the switch that they provide me with is tacky and very suspect. And I do not want to buy another one. So I decided to use my cruise control button to serve that purpose, because I disconnected my cruise control…Here are the schematics.
The switch they provided me with has 3 connections. One is for ground, one is for power, and the next one says load. The Cruise control button has 5. A red-blk one that goes to a fuse under the dash, Red goes to dashlit brightness controller, and another one that goes to another fuse. These two go to a bulb I believe because it says “ILLUM”…There is a Blk-Yel that goes a fuse under the dash and is wired to the Off position. There is a Light green which goes to Power Input. And there is a back that goes to ground.
Crusie control schematics
Illum red- blk fuse
Red – dashlit controller
Blk-yel - Fuse
Off
On Lt Grn- Power input
On Indi Blk- Ground
Ground
Load—Goes to Boost controller
Power
