Default Electrical Issues

Recently I noticed that my turn signals weren't working on my 90 Civic HB. The culprit was a blown fuse, so it was an easy fix. After replacing the fuse, I drove for about 10 minutes when I noticed a burning smell. Somehow, the fuse melted versus blowing. When this happended it blew the STOP/HAZARD fuse in the engine compartment fuse box. The problem is that now when I attempt to replace the STOP/HAZARD my starter kicks on. I was thinking that maybe when the TURN SIGNAL fuse melted that it messed up the MAIN RELAY. Any help on this would be appreciated.

did you install a bigger fuse than rec'd?

the main relay does not give power to your starter..

I replaced the blown fuse with the same 10A that I had taken out of there. I just can't figure out why the starter would go when I replace the STOP/HAZARD fuse.
