Electrical help needed!
Ok so quick background on my car to possibly help understand the position I'm in:
when my buddy owned it:
91 EF hatch swapped with a b18b1 engine. wiring done by some other genius who cut wires and wired straight from the ecu with random wiring and twisting and electrical tape (maybe for the dpmfi - mpfi conversion idk I've never done one.) ANYWAYS the motor blew up threw a rod.
Where its at now:
Ive swapped in a b18a1 with a b18c1 head. i tried to do all the wiring myself but the harness was cut up worse than a cadaver. so i bought a new one(OEM). that one wasnt quite right either. SO i bit the bullet and bought a Rywire one.
Where I am at now:
The check engine light stays on with key turned including when i try and pull codes. I have two ecu's now because i bought one thinking MAYBE i fried the old one when doing some exploratory wiring. Didn't make a difference when i plugged it in. It seems like i am not getting spark. rotor is new and both caps i have don't like to fit but with some man handling they will. the motor just turns and turns and turns. not even a pop of something igniting.
I don't know what to do or where to look. I've read about the engine light staying on meaning dead ecu or bad relay. but i have two good ones. and all fuses look fine. i even swapped my main relay off of a running CRX.
I've thrown way to much money in this car i was just planning on flipping. Please help. ANY thought or idea is appreciated.
